I have a brand new BEAUTIFUL original painting today - a new Rococo piece - FRAMED in a gorgeous ornate frame called "Princess with a Black Cat". It is gorgeous! And she's up in my eBay store now - In addition, I have prints available right away! All right, the new original painting! A gothic beauty with big lovely eyes - painted in a Rococo portrait style - a princess with her beautiful black cat! I love cats, and I love painting cats, so this was a joy to do. The black cat is inspired by my own baby Azrael. This one is FRAMED in a gorgeous ornate open wood golden frame - fitting the Rococo style - and large - 22x25" framed - 12"x16" masonite panel-- and it's all READY TO HANG too, Matt has already put the hanger on the back of the frame. This ORIGINAL acrylic painting is up in my eBay store until purchaed, and you can see her below:

In addition I have yet another BRAND NEW series of figurines up at the Hamilton Collection They are a whole series of Irish/Celtic themed faeries called my "Life Charms" collection (each one has a different "luck" theme with a removable charm or token). And guess what? If you order "Prosperity" (the first of the new Life Charms Irish Faeries at Hamilton) and select Express Shipping - Hamilton will GUARANTEE CHRISTMAS DELIVERY! Lol - so this would be a great last minute gift!

All Jasmine's Original Paintings HERE!

Or directly - let me introduce "By the Seaside" Ready to hang - 2" deep cradled masonite it is is an ORIGINAL acrylic painting measuring 20"x16". I love this painting! One of my favourite things to do is to walk up and down the beach here in Florida and collect seashells. Some I take home and paint (hence this painting). Here I have a couple of my little faerie girls doing the same - of course the shells are a lot bigger for them to haul than they are for me! This painting is almost a still life, but in a beach setting - and with faeries (so in otherwords, not much of a still life at all, nevermind). And yes, to give everybody a chance, she is starting at just ONE PENNY! It's up for a 10-day auction ending the evening of Monday, December 28th at 4:37 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

I've been needing some new slippers (I live in them in the winter) and then these ones that I have been coveting went on a super sale for only the one day that I happen to be in town! Yay!

Brock bought a bag of different nuts and a nutcracker and Wes has been LOVING it. He loves seeing what all the different nuts look and taste like and he loves trying to crack them open on his own. He has perfected his own little method of just smacking the crap out of them with the nutcracker until they break open. Ha!

New Faces of Faery Originals, new Hamilton Collection "Red Hat Society" Fairy Figurines!

Hi everyone!

Mostly Matt & I have been scrambling to get everybody's holiday orders out, and I've been finishing up commissioned paintings with Christmas deadlines, but I did find some time to paint some new Faces of Faery! In fact, I have TWO new original Faces of Faery paintings for you and both start at just ONE PENNY on eBay! And in other WONDERFUL news - I have a new fairy figurine (and collection) with the Hamilton Collection now available to order - a brand new one created in homage to the Red Hat Society (don't know what that is? More info below!).

Okay! The new original paintings....to see ALL of my currently available original paintings, including the new ones click below:

Jasmine's NEW ORIGINAL PAINTINGS are ALL HERE!

Or individually - here is "Faces of Faery 60" - the 60th in the series. Ready to hang - 2" deep cradled masonite as well - she (like ALL of my Faces of Faery) is 6"x6" an ORIGINAL acrylic painting. My Faces of Faery are all the same size & shape and look fantastic when displayed together with their sisters, if you are collector! A beautiful, but slightly grumpy looking fairy with moth wings! And yes, to give everybody a chance, she is starting at just ONE PENNY! She's up for a 7-day auction ending the afternoon/evening of Monday, December 21st at 5:26 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

"Faces of Faery: 60" ORIGINAL PAINTING

And - same size & shape of course, 6x6, ready to hang original painting - Faces of Faery #61 - A gorgeous fairy creature with a romantic/rococo feel to her - silver hair and flowers - oh so lovely! Ready to hang! And yes, to give everybody a chance, she is also starting at just ONE PENNY! She's up for a 7-day auction ending the afternoon/evening of Monday, December 21st at 5:46 PM Central Time, and you can see her here:

"Faces of Faery: 61" ORIGINAL PAINTING

Next up - my latest series with the Hamilton Collection! She is absolutely divine - the first of my "Red Hat" faeries, inspired by the Red Hat Society. Here's a bit about the Red Hat Society first:

About the Red Hatters

So in honour of the fun-loving ladies I have a series of new fairy figurines all with bright red hats and lovely purple clothing & accessories! These are perfect for any Red Hatters you know! Don't worry, they're so cute they'd be great for anybody really - there's no 50+ age limit, hehehe. The first issue is called "It's Not The Age, It's The Attitude!" and she is already online at Hamilton (or can be ordered by phone). You can order her by herself, or subscribe to the whole collection (several more Red Hat faeries are in the works!). She's 4" tall, only $19.99 and is cast in resin, and is Limited Edition. To order her online - the individual figurine by herself is here:

Click HERE to see my little Red Hat Fairy or order her individually!

Or subscribe to the collection here (get a new one almost every month!):

or Click HERE for the whole collection!

Or just call them up on the phone, tollfree: 1-877-268-6638 and ask for Jasmine Becket-Griffith's new "Red Hat" fairy "It's Not The Age, It's The Attitude!"

And as I always mention, I don't work for Hamilton, they just make my stuff, hehe. If you have ANY questions about ordering, shipping, availability, release dates, anything like that - contact them through their website or at the phone number above (in other words, don't ask me - I don't have access to that info, I'm just a painter!).

Now - as I mentioned - I have made a special resource page with ALL the information I have regarding international ordering info for Hamilton/Bradford collectibles. This really is ALL the info I have. Please read it if you live outside the US and want to order from Hamilton/Bradford. It has all the info and links you should ever need! Any further questions you are left with will have to be directed to Hamilton/Bradford via the links on that page. Whew! To see the page about non-US orders for the Hamilton/Bradford collectibles, click below (and bookmark it for future reference). I've noticed Bradford UK & Australia are adding more of my stuff everyday!:

Ordering Jasmine's Bradford Collectibles outside the US

And along similar lines - I'd like to tell you about a wonderful website out of Canada called "The Realm" which is run by an even more wonderful lady named Tiffany. She actually IMPORTS the Bradford/Hamilton figurines and will ship them WORLDWIDE, even to countries that don't have Bradford websites. You will love this website if you live overseas and want my collectibles!

You can see what The Realm has of my Bradford/Hamilton collectibles currently here:

Today Wesley brought home directions for this snowman game from school and we played it together! You roll two dice and each number means a different thing you get to draw and whoever finishes the snowman first wins! I was the green marker and Wes was the red. Rolling a 12 means you have to swap pictures, which is why there is red and green on each one. It came down to us each needing one more thing (him a mouth and me a hat) and he won!

And now here's a Christmas Meme for you!!

10 Question Holiday Meme

When do you start decorating and putting up your tree?

Anytime after Thanksgiving. Usually the beginning of December, but we were a bit later than usual this year because of Wesley getting ill.

When do you take down your tree?
Whenever we are sick of all the decorations being in the way, lol. Sometime in January.

How soon do you start shopping?
I always want to start it extra early, but usually end up doing it in a rush the last couple of weeks before Christmas.

Favorite Christmas movie?
The Muppets Christmas Carol!
I also love the special The Year Without a Santa Claus. The Miser Brothers are the best!

Favorite Christmas song?
Carol of the Bells! And many others, but that one is just so gorgeous. Vocal version!

Eggnog or hot cider?
I love both!! Every year Brock makes his special homemade eggnog to drink while decorating the tree. It's one of my favorite parts of the holiday!

When do you open your gifts? Quickly or slowly?
Christmas morning. I always open mine so slowly. I like to drag out the anticipation, plus I can't for the life of me just tear apart the pretty paper. I have to open it very carefully where it's taped.

What do you usually do for Christmas dinner?
We are always at my mom's on Christmas Day and I think she usually makes a ham and some sides, but I'm sure I always just fill up on sweet breads and cookies because that's how I roll.

Any favorite traditions?
Decorating the tree and drinking eggnog! Driving around looking at lights, watching specials and movies every night, Christmas morning with Wesley..

What’s one thing you’d like this Christmas?
The Beatles Rock Band! Unrealistically, a new lens for my camera.

I tag everyone! Ha!

TAROT TUESDAY -- Work In Progress -- The Priestess

Well, I haven't heard back about sharing the commission yet, and I haven't quite finished the Priestess card! I don't have any completed projects to show, but instead of ignoring Tarot Tuesday completely, I'll share a work in progress of The Priestess! As you can see, she's still rough, but I think she's getting there!

WIP -- The Priestess

I'm hoping to finish her up later this evening, but I have some family stuff to do tonight, so it would have been too late to really post the completed piece. If I do finish this piece, I'll just onto her for next week's reveal. I need to complete my last commission of the year (just an 8x10), and start work on the next card. So I may need to hoard the Priestess in case I can't get next week's work done on time. I like putting deadlines on myself so I stick to somewhat of a schedule, but I also want to make sure that I am happy with every little inch of the cards. I think my next card is looking like the Ace of Cups! I know it seems kind of random to go from the Major Arcana over to one of the minors, but the Ace is already tugging on my sleeve. Ace up my sleeve! Ha ha!

Well, I'd better get back to painting before I get pulled away for a few hours! Happy Tarot Tuesday!

XOXO!!

New Art!!!

I know, crazy, right?

This is my Christmas piece for my cards this year. I had a heck of a time getting the dress to look the right shade of red on my compy...this is about as close as it's going to get.

9x12 watercolor with ink, white gouache, metallic gold gouache and iridescent medium on 140# hotpress.

I hope you like her. She took me forever to paint!! o.O It's nice to be painting again. ^^

Wesley drew this picture of Perry the Platypus from the show Phineas and Ferb.

Wesley has been pretending to be Perry a lot lately and even tries to talk like him.
Which if you have ever seen Phineas and Ferb and heard Perry talk, this is hysterical.

[info]heatherica

(no subject)

I made a really stupid mistake. See, I have a Bucky, which you can put in the microwave to heat up and keep you warm. And Wesley is ALWAYS stealing it. Which doesn't work for me because I am ALWAYS cold and need it! So I remembered when I went to this local spa last year, seeing that the same company sold monster shaped ones. For some reason I didn't buy one for Wesley (probably because we were watching our money) so this year I thought it would be the perfect gift! Only when I went there to get one I learned they didn't have any and weren't planning on ordering more. So I went online and found them on the website, on sale at that, and ordered this greenish guy. I was really excited, thinking I found the perfect gift for Wes.

Well, it just arrived and as I was reading the tag I noticed the words "DO NOT MICROWAVE" on it. I went to look at the website and sure enough, it's just meant to be a little pillow. UGH. I was reading more about it and it says not to microwave because "the cover has metal zippers which can cause fire when microwaved." Only the one we just received has no metal zipper anywhere, it's just an overlapping flap. So. I was wondering if I could just cut open the inner liner and replace the filling (buckwheat hulls) with something else that could be microwaved to hold heat. What do you guys think? Is that a good/safe idea? And does anyone know where I could get buckwheat seeds (which is what is inside my bucky)?
